I og med at jeg ikke hadde sett snurten av de fleste Molladalstoppene under siste sommers bes�k passet det godt med en tur tilbake vinterstid. 2 telt ble fraktet inn til Storevatnet innerst i den ville og dramatiske dalen. Det ble to overnattinger i skiftende v�r, men vi kom oss likevel opp p� J�nshornet via J�nshornsrenna.

Sunnm�rsalpene med sine kvasse tinder passer perfekt for tinderangling med tilh�rende flotte nedkj�ringer. Vi tok med oss brett-, telemark- og randone�utstyr inn i Molladalen for noen dager med h�p om � komme oss opp p� noen av toppene; J�nshornet, Randers- og Mohns topp.

Vi startet fra parkeringen i Erdalen med tunge sekker. Jeg hadde med meg brett og truger, men valgte likevel � slenge dette p� sekken for � g� p� fjellskiene de f� kilometrene inn til Storevatnet. Det var ikke mange kilometrene, men de nesten 600 h�ydemetre gjorde innmarsjen likvel sv�rt strabasi�s. N�r dette er sagt hadde vi ikke spart p� noe under pakkingen . Vi hadde med to telt, masse mat og snop. Et telt skulle fungere som sove-telt det andre som mat- og spise-telt. Standarden og komforten var det derfor ingen ting � si p�.

J�nshornsrenna

Dagen etter innmarsjen var planen � g� opp til J�nshornet for � kj�re ned J�nshornsrenna. Dette er en flott og brei renne ned fra toppen som ender ved Storevatnet i Molladalen. Renna holder en helning p� 30 graders tallet, kanskje 40 grader i starten.

Vi la i vei oppover fjellsiden fra teltleiren men kom ikke langt opp f�r vi vurderte skredfaren som for stor. Dette skulle i ettertid vise seg � v�re en grov feilvurdering . Vi snudde og satte kursen opp fjellene p� motsatt side, i retning Gr�netinden. N�r vi hadde kommet oss et lite stykke opp s� vi et turf�lge som hadde kursen rett opp renna. Vi hadde en liten anelse om hvem det kunne v�re s� vi snudde for � sjekke. Turf�lget skulle vise seg � v�re B�rd Smestad og co. ikke helt dem vi trodde det var, men alikevel kjente fjes.

De hadde en annen vurdering av skredfaren enn oss, og etter en n�rmere vurderingsrunde fulgte vi ogs� p� opp renna. Vi fulgte ikke renna direkte, noe vi i ettertid burde ha gjort. Vi fulgte venstre-flanken oppover. Denne er noe brattere enn selve renna og har en mer ujevn stigning . I etterp�klokskapens �nd var ikke dette noe godt valg. Fjellsiden ble likvel forsert uten de store problemer og vi kom oss opp til eggen p� toppen av renna. Her bl�ste det friskt, men vi tok alikevel en liten pause f�r den siste bakken opp til toppen.

V�ret var skiftende, men nedb�ren holdt seg heldigvis unna. Vi fikk derfor et lite glimt av den enorme utsikten fra toppunktet.

Nedkj�ringen ble riktig s� bra. Selv om det ikke var pudderforhold var det herlig � sette svinger nedover den bratte renna. En spektakul�r og artig nedkj�ring.
