Dronningkrona ble en gang kåret til en av norges 10 fineste nedkjøringer i bladet Fri Flyt. 1600 høydemetere er vell verdt å slite for når man kan "pumpe pudder" på vei ned. Dronningkrona skuffet heller ikke oss. Nei, forholdene var faktisk bedre enn det vi hadde turt å håpe på..

Det var et stort turfølge som reiste på dagstur fra Trondheim denne lørdagen. Alt i alt var vi ca 15 stykker som skulle tilbringe dagen på Vinnufjellet i Innerdalen. Etter at utstyret var klargjort tok vi fatt på de 1600 høydemeterne opp til toppen av Dronningkrona

Trugene fungerte godt. Det var kanskje mye på grunn av det gode føret, men trugene fra Tubbs overrasket meg i positiv forstand . Jeg fryktet på forhånd en strabasiøs tur med knall og fall . Truger er en del tyngre å gå på enn ski men ikke så tungt som jeg trodde, selv om motivasjonen av å vite at nedkjøringen kom til å bli helt fantastisk hjalp på . De slanke trugene var også lette å gå med. Man kunne gå helt normalt uten å hekte trugene i hverandre.

Vell oppe på Sandvikhaugen åpenbarte utsikten seg for alvor. Praktfull utsikt mot Innerdalstårnet, Skardsfjell og Trolla i øst. I sør raget forrige helgs Øksendals-topper. I vest fjordarmene og storhavet.

Snøforholdene var rett og slett fantastiske. Det var bare å nyte hver eneste sving med brettet ned fra Sandvikhaugen. Følelsen man får under slike forhold er vanskelig å beskrive..

Nå gjenstod kun noen små "kuler" før vi kunne sette bena på toppen av Dronningkrona . Vi hadde heller ikke nå noe hastverk og tilbrakte en god stund på toppunktet. Det var ikke vanskelig å trives i slike omgivelser.

Nedkjøringen ble helt fantastisk. Snøforholdene var perfekte, og det var en ubeskrivelig deilig følelse å surfe ned den lange fjellsiden fra Sandvikhaugen.

Mange mener at skisesongen for alvor starter i midten av mars. Vi innledet sesongen med en av sesongens aller fineste turer. Kremføre og drømmevær.
