Ytre Sula med sine relativt beskjedne 1318 meter over havoverflaten er en rask og lett topptur fra veien inn til Todalen. Ut på vårparten går det som regel an å kjøre helt inn til det lille kraftverket ved Seterhaugen. Fra kraftverket er det så og si ingen innmarsj til foten av fjellet ved Svinvikbotnen. Da gjenstår det kun rundt 2,9 km i luftlinje og 880 høydemeter før skikjøringen kan begynne.

Ytre Sula kan by på god utsikt til Trollheimen og Innerdalens mest kjente topper og tinder, samt variert nedkjøring med mange ulike alternativer på vei ned den solvendte hellingen til Svinvikbotnen . Her får man mye natur og skikjøring for en relativ liten innsats!
