Det er rart hvordan man gleder seg til de lange og lyse sommerdagene når vintermørket er på det sterkeste. Kontrastene er enorme fra vinterens bekmørke til det nesten evige sollyset midtsommers. Jeg tok turen opp til Skarvan og Roltdalen nasjonalpark for en kort helgetur med en topptur til Storskarven som hovedmål. Sola kommer seg såvidt under horisonten i Trøndelag på denne tiden av året. Naturen yrer av liv absolutt hele døgnet. Naturens innbyggere utnytter timene, minuttene og sekundene til det fulle.
Nytt kamera skulle også prøves ut på tur for første gang. De små detaljer kommer antagelig til å få større fokus i tiden fremover, nå som et speilreflekskamera er tilgjengelig
. Forhåpentligvis blir det en heving i kvaliteten på bildene som publiseres fra min side.
Jeg har tidligere vært på Storskarven vinterstid, men aldri vært på tur i dette området til fots. Skarvan med Storskarven inngår i den ganske nylig opprettede (2004) Skarvan og Roltdalen nasjonalpark. Utgangspunktet for turen var som forrige gang, parkeringen ved Sildra. Det var allerede blitt ettermiddag før jeg var klar til å rusle innover den gruslagte stien i retning Ytre Sonvatnet.

Kursen ble etter noen hundre meter lagt i retning Grønlipynten. "Kontorformen" merktes godt i de slake bakkene opp mot toppen
. Sekken var pakket svært lett, så det var dessverre lite å skylde på.. Etter mange pust og pes kom jeg meg omsider opp på toppen. Det blåste ganske friskt, men været og utsikten ellers var meget bra.
Teltplass for kommende natt ble lagt ved Sildertjønnin litt øst for Grønlipynten. Det nye kameraet gir nye muligheter for naturfoto, så det ble en liten "Arne Nævra runde" på kvelden i søken etter interessante motiver. Det ble noen bilder av et par poseringsvillige Heilo'er, samt et par bilder av den stemningsfulle solnedgangen over Ytre Sonvatnet.
Utsikten fra Storskarven er vid og storslagen. I sørøst ligger Sylan, i øst Snasahögorna, i nord Sonvatna, og i vest de skog- og myrkledde åsene i de lavereliggende områdene av nasjonalparken.
Toppen av Storskarven er jevnlig besøkt. Dette vises av skiltet på toppen, og postkassen med toppturboka.
Denne dagen var det likevel tomt for andre turgåere i området.

Nedturen ble lagt via Sunndalshøgda. Fra Sunndalshøgda går det en tynn snørenne nesten helt ned til 550 moh. Denne er fin å følge utfor. Jeg fulgte denne, og på snø går det raskt unna så det tok ikke lang tid før jeg var tilbake til teltet ved Sildertjønnin.
Lunsj ble inntatt i teltet p.g.a en kort regnbyge som passerte. Telt og utstyr ble pakket sammen før returen til parkeringen ved Sildra. Sola steikte godt i lia ned mot grusstien fra Ytre Sonvatnet. En kort, men stemningsfull helgetur i et særpregent område var gjennomført.
