Dalagubben kan by på en av Sunnmørsalpenes beste utsikter. Dette måtte til og med W.C Slingsby innrømme når han besøkte toppen etter bestigningen av Slogen. 1300 høydemetere rett opp fra Sæbø ved Hjørundfjorden. Fantastisk utsikt!

Start ved den første gården vest for Sæbø. Først sikk-sakk oppover langs traktorvei. Deretter opp en renne rett opp fjellsiden. Ved toppen av rennakommer man inn på en sti som leder videre oppover mot Dalagubben. I toppen av "dalen" mot toppen krysser man flere snøfonner . I den siste snøfonna kan det være greit med en isøks . Fra den siste snøfonna bestiges toppen greit via østryggen.

Litt historie

Tindepioneren i Jotunheimen W. C. Slingsby var også en pioner blant Sunnmørsalpenes tinder. Han har blant annet førstebestigningen av Smørskredtindane. Slingsby prøvde også å stå først på toppen av Dalagubben (eller Miendalstind som den het da). Han besteg Dalagubben i strålende vær, men under arbeidet med å lage en varde på toppen oppdager de et skjelett som senere viser seg å være en geit
