Randoneè-skia hadde stått ubrukt hittil i påsken. 1.påskedag var jeg på vei opp til Trondheim med tro om at det skulle forbli slik. Oppover Østerdalen oppdaget jeg tilfeldigvis en svært lovende værmelding for midt-norge 2.påskedag. Bilturen ble derfor isteden lagt til Oppdal og Storlidalen. Den kvelden la jeg meg i soveposen med en stemningsfull solnedgang i vest med håp om en strålende morgendag. Tidlig morgenen etter var jeg på vei nedover Storhaugen i silkeføre.
Klokken var rundt sju når jeg la meg til i posen et kort steinkast fra Dalsvatnet og veien inn til Bårdsgården. Det klare været varslet om at jeg hadde en frisk natt i vente, men at den skulle bli så frisk som den ble hadde jeg ikke trodd på forhånd. 19 minusgrader viste termometeret på morgenkvisten. Jeg hadde satt klokka på ringing 0530, og hadde nesten lagt opp til en alpin start på dagen
. Det var kanskje litt for optimistisk for søvnen forsvant ikke så raskt som jeg hadde håpet. Klokka ble 0600 før jeg fyrte opp primusen for en rask frokost.
"På vestsiden av elva Vindøla ligger flere fristende topper, men Storhaugen utmerker seg som den fineste skituren. Her er det først og fremst muligheten for fin kjøring og gode snøforhold som trekker. Du spenner på deg skiene ved bilen og kan kjøre helt ned."

Klokken 0730 la jeg i vei oppover mot Storhaugen i et godt lag med løs nysnø. Det var ganske kjølig i starten, men temperaturen steg i takt med høydemeterne og oppe ved tregrensa var det etter hvert blitt en ganske behagelig temperatur. Oppover i nordsida ble det hardere og hardere desto lenger opp jeg kom
. Noen isvuller lurte også under det nye snølaget. Jeg krysset meg oppover lia samtidig som utsikten mot kjente Trollheimen og Innerdalstopper åpnebarte seg mer og mer.
Innerdalstopper sett fra Storhaugen. Storsomrungsnebba, Storsalen, Tårnfjell, Innerdalstårnet og Kringlehøa til høyre.
Etter litt under 2 timer stod jeg ved toppvarden og kunne speide utover mot et titalls ruvende Trollheimen-topper. Nedkjøringen ble lagt i østhellingen. Denne siden hadde ligget godt i le og bød på optimalt pudderføre. Et passe lag med pudder over et hardt og slett underlag. Det var en fryd og sette svinger i et hvitt og uberørt teppe. Etter at jeg hadde kjørt ned den første bakken ble jeg ivrig, og jeg ville gjerne klatre litt opp igjen for å kjøre resten av høydemetrene i en omgang. Jeg satte skia på sekken og gikk avgårde opp mot toppen lengst ut mot Storlidalen. Det gikk fint en god stund oppover, men til slutt kom jeg til en hard og isete rygg

. Isøks og stegjern var dessverre fraværende i sekken, så det forsøket måtte jeg ganske raskt gi opp. Det holdt faktisk på å gå litt galt da jeg plutselig mistet fottaket og seilte noen meter nedover snøbakken.

Jeg spente på meg skia på ny og kom meg inn på rett spor
. Føret var fortsatt helt upåklagelig. Følelsen av å cruise nedover i fjærlett snø i strålende solskinn er helt ubeskrivelig. Det siste stykket ble kjørt mer eller mindre i ett, og etter mange men allikevel for få svinger stod jeg nede på flata ved Vinndøla. Jeg ble stående en stund å kikke opp på det enslige sporet som var nettopp var blitt satt nedover. Det var vakre linjer om jeg få si det selv...
"Signering" av den nordøstvendte fjellsiden ned mot Storlidalen.
Herfra var det noen få hundre meter med dypsnø-trasking før jeg nådde veien og tilbake ved bilen. Totalt tok turen drøye 3 timer, og klokken 1045 var jeg på vei mot Trondheim godt fornøyd med dagens innsats og opplevelser.

Vandring og Toppturer
