Sesongens første skitur ble unnagjort i helgen. Sent, men godt får en vel si. Turens mål var først og fremst NTNUI koia "Lynhøgen" som ligger i Brungmarka ca 8 km nord for Rensfjellet. Det ble en litt mer strabasiøs tur enn planlagt på grunn av at veien innover Renåfjellet tydeligvis ikke blir brøytet. Snømengdene var akkurat nok til å stoppe oss. På lørdag ble det en kort tur opp på Litjrensfjellet med flott utsikt mot Trollheimen i vest.

Jeg trodde nemlig at veien innover til Hornsjøan var vinterbrøytet, men det var den altså ikke. Snømengdene var akkurat nok til å stoppe en liten Golf i bakkene opp til Renåfjellet. 4-hjulstrekk hadde vært tingen her, men det var ikke annet å gjøre enn å ta skiene fatt opp bakkene. Innmarsjen ble derfor en god del lengre enn planlagt. Skiføret var ok siden vi gikk på veien, men stavene gikk rett ned til grusen og utforbakkene var det ikke mye snø å bremse på. Det gjaldt å ikke skrense eller ploge.

De ekstra kilometerne tok virkelig på. Avstandsfølelsen blir ganske redusert når man går med kun en liten hodelykt på hodet. Kilometerne blir drøyere i mørket..

. I tillegg gledet vi oss veldig til å komme oss inn i en lun og varm koie. Heldigvis var det tynt skydekke så måneskinnet stakk igjennom. Dette hjalp oss mye med finorienteringen for å finne koia. Det er mange før oss som har slitt med å finne denne koia . Lynhøgen ligger godt gjemt i terrenget bak en liten kolle. Etter rundt 2,5 time gikk vi derfor heldigvis rett på koia. Gode orienteringskunnskaper er godt å ha... Jeg hadde nok ikke hatt så veldig stor tålmodighet til å lete rundt i terrenget denne kvelden . Klokken 2300 var vi godt i gang med å fyre opp i ovnen, og å tilberede den tradisjonelle "murergryta".

Fredagskvelden ble sen . Lørdagsmorgenen var derfor mange timer gammel da vi sto opp for å spise frokost, men egg og bacon smakte like godt for det. Dagens lengde og det heller skrale skiføret gjorde at det kun ble en kort utflukt denne dagen. Den nærmeste toppen, Litjrensfjellet ble avlagt et besøk. Det var flott utsikt fra toppen, og solnedgangen kastet et flott januarlys mot Rensfjellet, Kråklifjellet og mer fjerntliggende topper i Trollheimen.

På søndag hogget vi litt ved, vasket opp og ryddet ut som seg hør og bør etter en koietur. Returen tilbake til bilen ble heldigvis en god del lettere enn turen inn. En flott helg i Brungmarka var gjennomført. Et trivelig fjellområde i nærheten av Trondheim.
