1.juledag ble Bletoppen besøkt fra et noe uvanlig utgangspunkt. Bletoppen er den høyeste toppen på Blefjell med sine 1342 moh. Vinteren 06/07 har vært usedvanlig varm og snøfattig mange steder i landet. Toppen ble derfor besteget på beina og på et vårlig føre. 3 timer tok turen tur/retur Sandvatn.

Det er nok ikke mange turfolk som har besteget Bletoppen fra denne kanten, selv om toppen nåes raskest fra denne siden ved veien fra Bolkesjø til Tinn. Jeg ville utnytte denne strålende 1.juledagen til å endelig komme meg ut på tur igjen. I løpet av senhøsten og tidlig på vinteren blir det naturlig nok ikke så mange turer som vanlig . I tillegg har ikke akkurat været eller snømengdene innbytt til noen større eventyr i det siste . Vinteren har så langt mange steder sett ut som når våren er i anmarsj. Det var derfor med stor iver jeg tok fatt på bakken opp til Bletoppen fra Sandvatn. Nok en gang i nokså ukjent terreng..

Formen var heller laber da jeg startet på de 1000 høydemeterne opp til toppen. Det var lenge siden større fysiske utskeielser. . Jeg valgte et "rakt på" veivalg ved å gå over fjellryggene "Flæun". Været var strålende med knallblå himmel og vindstille. Nede i dalene lå tåka. Det var et flott skue der jeg gikk i lyngen oppover. Like under Svartufs kom jeg inn på den "rød merkede" stien oppover mot toppen. Stien var tydligvis ikke så tett traffikert, for jeg mistet den flere ganger oppover lia.

Da jeg passerte tregrensa kom jeg etter hvert inn på flere og flere snøflekker. Snøen var hard og det var vanskelig å finne feste for fjellskoa. Jeg la derfor om kursen og gikk rett opp på ryggen sør for toppen

. Vell oppe på topplatået var det nærmest skøytebane. Issvullene lå tett. Jeg stabret meg bort til toppvarden. Lunsjen ble inntatt der med flott panoramautsikt mot Knutefjell, Skrim, Telemark og Gaustatoppen og videre nordover langs Blefjell-ryggen.

Etter å ha sittet ved toppvarden i rundt 40 minutter tok jeg fatt på returen. Snøen i solhellingen var fortsatt hard, og jeg vurderte det som høyst risikabelt å benytte meg for mye av snøflekkene nedover. Rundt på alle kanter lå steiner klare til brått å bremse et eventuelt fall. Dette førte til at jeg kom litt skjevt ut og bommet fullstendig på veivalget ned lia. Stien mistet jeg fort og jeg rotet meg etter hvert inn i et gammelt hogstfelt i den bratteste delen av lia. Hinderløypa på hogstfeltet ble omsider forsert før jeg kom meg inn på den merkede stien ned mot veien inn Køytedalen. Veien ble fulgt tilbake til bilen. 3 timer på tur viste klokka da jeg var tilbake ved bilen. Årets vårligste desembertur.
