Siden Solveig skulle ha eksamen onsdag, passet det bra med en liten tur ut i frisk luft tirsdag kveld. Og frisk luft ble det nok av. 4-5 varmegrader, regn og tåke ga oss ikke akkurat den utsikten vi hadde håpet på, men uansett var det en fin kveldstur.

I utgangspunktet hadde vi tenkt oss på Geitfjellet, men hadde også veldig lyst til å finne en liten steinhytte som ligger på nedsiden av Geitfjellet et sted . Jeg overnattet der for tre år siden, men kunne ikke garantere at jeg ville finne den igjen. Den ligger ikke spesielt syblig eller lett tilgjengelig, og terrenget er veldig likt i området rundt. Hytta er egentlig ei fugletitterhytte (ikke orreleik), og driftes av lokallaget i Trondheim (Norsk Ornitologisk forening).

Etter litt vasing i våte myrer fant vi til slutt fram, og fikk litt ly av regnet inne i hytta. Her finnes både ovn og ei smal seng. En flott plass!

Etter en liten pause fortsatte vi turen ute i regnet, og kom oss etterhvert opp på Geitfjellet. Her så vi omtrent 15 meter ut i lufta rundt oss (ok, kanskje litt overdrevent da, men...) Snakk om tett tåke! Ikke den helt store utsikten med andre ord.. Må nok tilbake hit en gang i sommer.

Terrenget rundt Geitfjellet er veldig spesielt. Det er masse krypfuru, så det er nesten helt uframkommelig om man ikke følger stiene

. Det minne egentlig mest om kystnære strøk i Danmark. Her har jeg løpt litt o-løp opp gjennom årene, og har svært dårlige erfaringer med å prøve å tråkle seg gjennom slike områder med tettpakket krypfuru.

Turen var uansett vellykket den, og i løpet av natta kom snøen i Bymarka igjen! Minusgrader og nedbør gjorde at vi våknet til en hvitkledd Gråkaill onsdag morgen. Jeg blir aldri klok på Trøndelag...

Vi fant til slutt steinbua godt skjult nede i lia (t.v). Solveig på toppen av Geitfjellet. Ikke mye å se her gitt. . (t.h.)
