 De Syv Søstre er landemerket med stor L på Helgelandskysten ved Sandnessjøen. Det er mange sprekinger som bestiger alle toppene i løpet av èn lang sommerdag. Vi valgte oss ut 3 av toppene, Skjerdingen og de to toppene som utgjør Tvillingene. Det ble en strålende og varm dag med fantastisk utsikt mot blant annet Dønna, Lovund, Træna og helt opp til Svartisen i nord. Dagen ble avsluttet med et avkjølende bad i en badekulp på vei ned til parkeringen. |

 Landemerket på Sør-Helgeland ble besøkt i strålende juli vær. Torghatten er lett tilgjengelig, og det er kun en kort tur på godt opparbeidet sti fra Torghatten kurs- og feriesenter. Det tar 20 minutter fra parkeringen og opp til det velkjente og merkelige hullet i fjelltoppen sør for Brønnøysund. |

 Heilhornet er det første virkelige Helgelandsfjellet man møter på tur nordover. Med sine 1058 moh er det ikke det høyeste fjellet i Norge, men det rager høyt over sine nabofjell, og utsikten er enestående på en godværsdag. Fjellet ligger ute ved havet like over grensa til Nordland. Herfra kan man se Børgefjell og Okstindane i øst, Helgelandskysten med Torghatten og de Syv søstre i nord og utallige fjell og fjorder i alle andre retninger. |
