Utgangspunktet for turen var leirplassen 1,5 km sør for Spiterstulen. Vær-vinduet som var meldt slo til, og vi fikk påskens fineste dag på turen rundt Tverråbreen og Bukkeholsbreen. 3 stykker 2000-metere ble besøkt med god utsikt mot de aller høyeste i landet. Mye nysnø gjorde at det ikke tilbakelagt så mange kilometer, men vi koste oss i sola og frydet oss over at rundt oss lå skydekket tungt.

Dagen etter kveldsturen i Eventyrisen var været en del lettere da vi satte kursen innover langs Tverråe i retning Tverråbreen. Det hadde kommet en del nysnø i løpet av natten så vi vekslet med å brøyte løype innover dalen. Skydekket begynte å sprekke opp når vi nærmet oss kanten av breen. I den første bakken opp på breen sprakk det helt opp, og jakka måtte kastes for å unngå overoppheting i solsteiken.

Dagens første topp ble Lindbergtinden som ligger som en rygg mellom øvre og nedre Tverråbandet. På toppen var det flott utsikt over Tverråbreen, Skardstind og Store Bukkeholstind karakteristiske profil i sør

. Vi tok en lunsjpause i solskinnet for turen ble satt mot Vakkerbandet like sør for Bukkehøe. Vi prøvde først å kjøre direkte ned på Tverråbreen, men ombestemte oss heldigvis ved å gå litt tilbake for så å slippe oss ned i kanten av Nørdre Illåbreen. Taulag ble opprettet like før oppstigningen til øvre Tverråbandet.

Lindbergtinden er besteget. Utsikt sørover mot Bukkeholstinder. Store sin flotte profil i bakgrunnen midt i bildet.

Ved Vakkerbandet bestemte vi oss for å bestige Bukkehøe . Etter litt traversering i fjellsiden ned mot Søre Illåbreen kom vi oss opp på den slake ryggen opp til toppen. Bukkehøe har flott og vid utsikt mot flere sentrale Jotunheimen-topper. Jeg kan blant annet nevne Skardstinden, Storebjørn, Galdhøpiggen, Store Memurutind og Kyrkja. Fra toppen så vi også et stort turfølge komme kjørende ned fra Illåbandet ned mot Nørdre Illåbreen.

Vell nede ved Vakkerbandet ble det nok en kort spisepause før Store Bukkeholstind ble satt på agendaen. Vi kom oss ned på skisporet som gikk i retning Bukkeholsbandet. På Bukkeholsbreen skyet det litt mer over, men Store Bukkholstind var fremdeles fri for skyer . Klokka nærmet seg 1900 så vi måtte skynde oss litt for å rekke toppen før det ble for mørkt på returen tilbake til teltet.
Heldigvis hadde det vært en del andre på Store Bukkeholstind denne dagen, så det var opparbeidet en god sti til toppen.

Returen til Visdalen ble også raskt unnagjort grunnet ferdig opptråkket løype. Vi returnerte via Bukkeholet og bekkedalen ned langs Bukkeholsbekken. Etter drøye 10 timer i et ganske behagelig tempo var vi tilbake ved teltet godt fornøyd med dagens tur. Vær-vinduet hadde lukket seg og vi hadde utnyttet dagens solskinnstråler til det fulle.

Det skyet litt mer til mot slutten av dagen. Her er vi kommet ned på Bukkeholsbreen med Store Bukkeholstinden i siktet.
