Etter at vi hadde v�rt p� turn� i b�de Jotunheimen og Sunnm�rsalpene m�tte vi nesten f� med oss en heim til. De to smedene i Rondane som ikke ble bes�kt p� Trolltinden-turen tidligere i sommer skulle avlegges et bes�k. Dessverre fikk vi lite igjen i form av utsikt, men ryggen mellom de to toppene innb� p� artig klyving tross det d�rlige v�ret.

Start ved parkeringen i kanten av Nasjonalparken ved Spranget. Ca 5 km med grusvei inn til Rondvassbu . Alle toppene hadde en liten t�kekalott, og vi inns� at noen storslagen utsikt skulle bli vanskelig � oppdrive i dag. Videre p� T-merket sti mot D�r�lseter oppover mot Rondhalsen . T-merket sti ogs� oppover mot Veslesmeden. T�ka hang p� ca. 1800 meter . Vi m�tte en del turg�ere som kom ned fra toppen . Veslesmeden l� innpakket i tett t�ke, s� det var bare � ta fatt p� "smedeggen". Ryggen mellom Vesle- og Storsmeden. Ryggen b�d p� artige utfordringer i form av fine klyvepartier over tre hammere fra laveste punkt p� ryggen og opp mot Storsmeden. Det s� ut som alle hammerene kunne unng�s ved � g� til venstre (i retning Storsmeden).

P� Storsmeden tiltok nedb�ren og steinene begynte � bli sleipe. Konsentrasjon! Alle 2000-meterstoppene i Rondane var n� unnagjort. 10 stykker totalt. Returen via Kaldbekkbotn ble en tolmodighetspr�ve p.g.a de sleipe steinene. Vi la kursen rett p� Spranget og gikk utenfor sti i den slake nedoverbakken ned til Kluftin og Ula.
