Topptur til to av Dovrefjells 2000-metre. I strålende vær og godt skiføre viste Dovre seg igjen fra en av sine beste sider, men det var bare tilfeldigheter at turen endte der. Planen var egentlig å dra til Romsdalsaplene.

Dagen før pakket vi bilen for å utforske et nytt og spennende område; Romsdalsalpene. Værmeldingen var lovende, og kursen ble satt i retning Åndalsnes og Trollstigen. Skuffelsen var derfor stor når vi møtte Romsdalen i regnvær. Vi hadde planlagt å overnatte på toppen av Trollstigen, men når vi kom dit hang tåka tungt, og sikten var kun noen få meter. I håpet om at været skulle lette dagen etter fant vi oss en overnattingsplass i et grustak like ved starten av Trollstigen.

Kl 0600 dagen etter kikket vi ut av teltåpningen kun for å konstantere at været ikke hadde forandret seg nevneverdig :sad:. Krisestemningen begynte å bre seg. Vi måtte jo komme oss på tur når vi hadde reist så langt..

Når vi ankom Dombås var det skyfri himmel over Dovre. I løpet av kjøreturen hadde vi egentlig bestemt oss for Jotunheimen, men vi tok heldigvis til fornuften og kjørte i retning Snøheim istedenfor.

Etter en god del mislykkede forsøk på å finne et turkart var vi klare til start litt før klokken 14. Sent, men vi hadde likevell mange gode timer foran oss . Dagens mål var Bruri og Skredahøin. Turen startet til fots innover veien til Maribui. Herfra bar det på ski oppover langs elva Svoni mot Bruri sin karakteristiske profil. Klokken 1700 var vi framme ved foten av fjellet. Bruri bestiges greit langs vestryggen selv om det er en god del løs stein.

På vei ned fra toppen løste vi ut noen små skred i snørennene ned mot botnen under Storstygge Svanåtind.

Nå var det dags for dagens andre 2000 meter topp. Skredahøin på 2004 moh. På grunn av den sene starten hadde temperaturen nå begynt å synke ned på minussiden. Dette skapte gode skiforhold og i godt driv startet vi på bakkene opp mot Skredahøin. Skiene ble satt igjen like under toppen. Østryggen bratner litt til det siste stykket mot toppvarden. Snøen var hard, og det var vanskelig å få feste med skiskoene . Vi tok derfor på oss stegjern og besteg toppen som lå badet i kveldsol i fin stil :smile:.

Returen ble gjort på fast og fint føre sør for Falthøi. Vi var tilbake ved Maribui klokken 2200. Nå gjenstod kun noen seige kilometer langs veien tilbake til bilen.
